This axe, taken from a burial site, was found as part of a trove buried with an individual placed in a foetal posture in a grave. It is 14.6 cm long and 5cm wide, with ridges running down both sides, intended to make it fit better into a wooden handle.
Considering its size, how it has been worn down and the marks of use on the cutting edge, it seems to have been used as an axe to cut down trees and clear land for farming.
