This is an axe measuring 15.4 cm in length by 6.9 cm at its widestand 2.2 cm thick.

It was found in Cave I at Olopte, on the right bank of the River Duràn. It is one of the largest of its kind found in Valltoba.

It was found in 1966 by a team of cavers from the Catalan Excursion Centre, who brought it to the surface together with a large amount of pottery.
