In the privileged setting of the Park of Montjuïc, one of the “green lungs” of the city of Barcelona, the Museum invites you to take a journey to the roots of Catalonia, from Prehistory to mediaeval times. You will find a selection of our best archaeological exhibits, housed in a relaxing atmosphere. The architecture has been preserved for one of the old palaces of the International Exhibition of 1929, located in Poble Sec —one of the most Bohemian and multi-cultural districts of Barcelona.
What is more, every weekend we will capture your imagination with a thousand and one stories. At weekends you can enjoy guided visits to our permanent and temporary exhibitions and family workshops, whose price is included in the admission fee.
