The Darder Exhibition explains how taxidermy was performed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the period when Francesc Darder worked. One of the resources used to is a stuffed animal, in this case a mangabey, with an x-ray that shows you the inside, with the preserved bones, cleaned beforehand, and the wires and padding that shape the specimen so that it looks as similar as possible to a live animal.
