The Jewish quarters formed special districts of various cities in medieval Catalonia. The alleys, dwellings, workshops and other workplaces (bakeries and slaughterhouses), shops and ritual buildings (synagogue and baths) provided the framework where Jewish life could take place in medieval Catalonia.
