This work was created in 1910 and originally consisted of three parts, although the left side is now missing. It is a panoramic view of the craggy coastline of Brittany showing a cliff known for its remarkable resemblance to the Great Sphinx of Giza. This is a romantic and intensely melancholy view that Nogué was able to depict with admirable accuracy, transferring to canvas the hazy atmosphere and irascible sea of this singular part of the northern French coastline.
