Marian Burguès (Sabadell, 1851-1932) was an excellent potter who contributed decisively to the evolution of the modern history of Catalan pottery. He founded the Faianç Català, one of the most representative companies in the world of art promotion, an establishment that was later run by his nephew, the cultural promoter of Noucentism, Santiago Segura.
