A sculpture dedicated to Saint Coloma, a maiden from a noble family who converted to Christianity at the age of 16. It is carved from a single large block of alabaster, a material widely used in sculpture from the 14th century onwards, and it displays great technical quality. It shows a young woman with a stylised figure standing with a slight arch of her hip and leg. She is dressed in the fashion of the day, with clothes and accessories that illustrate the figurative naturalistic approach that characterises the Gothic style in Catalonia.

The virtues of Saint Coloma, a virgin and martyr, and the serene beauty of this long-haired figure with a delicate and youthful face, epitomise the ideal of female beauty at the time.
