Mahogany half-pillar bed whose head is a rounded panel divided into four sections with straight horizontal lines. Above this a pyramidal-shaped crosspiece with outward sloping sides is crowned by a large carved shell in which small, gold-painted, lathe-turned strips fill each of the pleats in the shell. This emerges from a half-rosette in the centre, which is flanked by two kneeling figures of South American Indians holding quivers of arrows in their hands. At the very top, there is a vase of flowers.
