General view of the Trades of La Conca exhibit.

The artisanal and most traditional aspects of La Conca de Barberà can be seen in this part of the museum, which is on the ground floor. Fourteen different local trades are represented with recreations of their workshops. They include those of the blacksmith in all its variations, from shoeing horses to artistic forged iron work; the alabaster work characteristic of the town of Sarral; the plasterer; the stonemason; the espadrille maker, present in La Conca since the 16th century; the charcoal maker; the shearer; the woodcutter; the saddler; the carter; the paper millers of the Brugent and Francolí valleys and the cooper who made barrels with wood from the chestnut trees of the Prades Mountains. The exhibit is a heartfelt homage to those who dedicated their lives to these time-honoured manual occupations.
