From the mid-15th century, Cervera’s authorities carried out a symbolic ceremony under the name of cavalcada de les aigües, consisting of breaking the fish hatcheries holding water to complain about the right of use and control of the Ondara River. This view of Cervera from the early 18th century shows different buildings, such as the tannery quarter, the village of Vergós, one mill and four more distant ones, including the mill of Sant Pere el Gros.
