The Wheat and Farming Museum is an ethnographic project with a representative collection of country life activities in its material culture: the rooms of the house and the typical domestic activities, work in the fields, the manufacturing of products, the traditional trades …

In October 1963, following a popular outcry promoted by Agustí Duran i Sanper, a campaign was started to collect country and farming implements to create what would become the future Wheat and Farming Museum of Cervera.

The campaign was so successful that in only ten days more than 600 objects were collected from 150 owners in different villages, showing life in the countryside in full transformation. These were the first pieces that would end up becoming the significant collection that is currently housed in the museum, and which documents life and work in the Catalan countryside before industrialization.
