A 19th-century manual loom of varnished wood, although copper and iron were also used in their manufacture. It has leather handles, a pulley with a cord and stone to act as a counterweight. The loom is further evidence of the importance of the textile industry in Calella. Another device of the same kind exists in England, where machines for spinning and weaving were built for export to other countries.
