Wheat sheaves used to pile up in the fields around Castelló d'Empúries, as it was very important crop in the area, where cereals are still cultivated today.
In this section there are some varieties of wheat that, when mixed together, will eventually become the flour made in the factory.
These flours will then be used to make cakes, pizzas, biscuits and more. Bread, a staple food, provides carbohydrates and proteins, which the body needs to stay healthy.
This factory floor is where the flour is bagged and also has a network of pipes that continuously move products from one machine to another.
