Ceramic soup tureen from Gerri de la Sal, a testimony to the craftwork that was done in the towns and villages of the Pallars until well into the twentieth century, when the local potteries produced a great range of earthenware for everyday use: serving dishes, plates, jars, pots, casseroles, tureens or cups.

Salàs de Pallars, Gerri de la Sal and Rialp were the three leading potteries in the region.. The Ecomuseu has been able to find a representative range of these articles for its exhibitions, and has used them to design the reproductions that are made by contemporary ceramicists, some of which are for sale in the museum shop.
