The Wild T1 tachymeter was used in 1972 to do the topographical studies and measurements for the Baells dam. This apparatus was used to lay out the level curves in calculating the volume of the sections the land is to be divided into for later positioning of the dam. The instrument is metallic, and has a protective cover for when not in use, with an inscription from the manufacturer: “Wild Heerbrugg Switzerland T1-46954”.
