The bust of the New Giantess of Terrassa was made in Olot in 1950, at the workshop of sculptor Lluis Carbonell. Estefania, as the giantess is named, represents Countess Ermessenda of Carcassonne. She made her debut  at the Festa Major of Terrassa in 1950. Today, a copy appears in the festivities.

The complete giantess is 3.65 m tall. The jewels (ear rings, necklace, crown) and her costume were made by the teachers and pupils at the Escola de la Llar in Terrassa. Her partner is the New Giant of Terrassa, called Ramonet.
