This rectangular cradle is made of different pieces joined together with iron nails and stands on two wooden feet which allow it to be rocked.

Verdaguer’s original cradle first came to the Episcopal Museum of Vic in 1914, donated by Pere Teixidor of Folgueroles. It was supposed to be transferred to the Verdaguer House-Museum for its inauguration in 1936, but the outbreak of the war prevented this from happening. This example is an exact copy to scale of the original which would have belonged to the Verdaguer family. It was built in the 1960s by the carpenter Peter Buxó i Verneda, from Sant Julià de Vilatorta.
