The Romantic poet Jacint Verdaguer was born in Folgueroles in 1845 and died in Barcelona in 1902.
The Verdaguer House-Museum, where the poet spent the first two years of his childhood, contains an exhibition on his life and work. There is also a bedroom and a kitchen to show us how people used to live in his time period. It contains the exhibition "Two creators: Verdaguer and Perejaume", a collection of poems illustrating Verdaguer's creative process through his book of poems, Canigó, along with interpretations made by the artist Perejaume on the work of the poet of Folgueroles. There is an audiovisual presentation that reveals the dramatic, fascinating life of the poet who laid the foundations of modern Catalan with books such as L’Atlàntida (Atlantis) and Canigó.
