The six oil-on-canvas panels decorate the east and south walls of the room. This was the usual arrangement in private residences at the start of the century.
This decorative mural depicts a large symbolic landscape in a style akin to that of the 19th-century romantic landscape tradition. This subject was in vogue at the turn of the century.
Landscapes were converted almost into stage sets with an overtly dramatic tone. Pere Viver i Aymerich (Terrassa, 1873-1917) developed this artistic facet by collaborating with local theatres.
