The potters at La Bisbal are experts on their craft. Traditional pottery always meets certain criteria for function, balance and simplicity appropriate for rural lifestyles and needs, and their use was always linked to daily tasks: the pail was used in fountains and wells, the pot took its place by the stove, the pitcher held olives, the bucket was used during the pig slaughter and the basin carried the smell of washing.
