Display cabinet from the Pallarès Pharmacy of Solsona, 17th century. Diocesan and Comarcal Museum of Solsona.

Polychrome display cabinet from the Pallarès Pharmacy. On its outside there is a painting of the Annunciation, and in the interior, paintings of Saint Cosme and Saint Damian, the patron saints of medicine. The cupboard is an excellent example of the craft-skill of furniture-making in Catalonia between the 16th and the 18th centuries, when polychromed articles such as this were much in demand. It came to the museum together with other objects from the Pallarès Pharmacy, which was one of the oldest documented in Catalonia, and was open in Solsona, without interruption, from the first half of the 15th century to the end of the 19th.
