The front of a sarcophagus depicting a scene of Apollo and the Nine Muses.

The façade of a sarcophagus carved from Luni-Carrara marble. It depicts the god Apollo accompanied by the Nine Muses. From left to right: Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomeni, Apollo, Erato, Terpsichore, Calliope, Ourania and Polymnia. It has been dated to around the year 200 AD. It was discovered in 1935 in the floor of the Corpus Christi chapel apse in the cathedral, where it had been reused as the tombstone of the Rocabertí family with the carved face underneath. It has suffered some damage.
