Some of the workshops in Olot make their own festival figures, including giants and big-heads. On the day of the patron saint of the workshop, it was traditional to hold a meal with the workers and owners, and the workshop would also have a dance with the giants.

"El Cucut" and "la Xurruca" were the big-heads for the "Artes Religiosas" workshop. When the workshop closed, the figures became part of the festival for the Sant Ferriol neighbourhood.
