This is one of the few elements of the old 13th-century castle-palace of Terrassa which has remained in situ. It is the city’s most iconic building because it is a visible reference to the medieval town of Terrassa, the seed of the modern city.
The Centre d’Interpretació de la Vila Medieval deTerrassa (CIVMT) presents an audiovisual which explains the origins of the medieval town of Terrassa and contains a small section of the defensive city’s defensive moat, an underground gallery, a cold room and a baker’s oven from 1839.
