A hoe from Ulldecona Castle, a sickle from Amposta Castle and a horseshoe from Miravet Castle. All these pieces are examples of agricultural work, the economic basis of the feudal system. From prehistory technology evolved with the use and expansion of metal and the application of new techniques that allowed the land to be made more productive. In the Middle Ages surplus crops that were easy to accumulate became important.
