Cane badoqueres were widely used during the 20th century

The ‘Badoquera’, an essential tool in any house, was used to collect the ripe fruit from the trees.

In Castellbisbal, fruit tree crops were very important, especially after the phylloxera crisis. At that time, many farmers had to diversify production so grapevines shared the land with fruit trees.

Indicative of this increase in fruit production was the name given to the population in 1937, Fruiters. With the uprisings, the religious names of municipalities were changed.
