An important element of the new Hispanic domestic dowries were the travel baskets, trunks, boxes and other objects used to keep things used each day. Petacas, either those used for travel or those known as chocolateras (used to transport and store cocoa), abounded. This one is for travel, as it has two wrought iron handles for carrying. The themes depicted on this piece are hunting scenes. The figures appear in gowns, breeches and lances typical of the 18th century. The decoration is completed with intertwined shapes that frame the scene.
