The excavation of two wells from the Roman period on the archaeological site of the city of Iesso led to the discovery of a sediment that had maintained its level of humidity from when it was first deposited, which meant that some organic materials were preserved (wood, wicker, seeds and pips). These materials are rarely found on archaeological sites, so the discovery of this plant material is a truly exceptional opportunity to learn about the resources available in Iesso and their consumption.
