Water is the main theme of this exhibition, which is devoted to Banyoles lake and its basin. It follows the water from the moment it falls as rain in the Alta Garrotxa until it reaches the lake, ponds, springs and fountains in the Pla de l'Estany region. The types of minerals and rocks in the water, its microorganisms, physical characteristics and biodiversity, make the Lake Banyoles basin a unique place. This has had an effect on the human population, with an impact on the surroundings and history of the town of Banyoles.
