Bed in the Turull factory house, first floor

In a wealthy home, not only did the furniture have to reflect the family’s economic status; it also had to be a showcase of current fashions. The furnishings in the Turull factory house are a reflection of the tastes and spirit of the Elizabethan period.

The evolution of the furnishings in these houses was slow and always somewhat delayed compared to Barcelona, the model to follow in trends. Most of the furniture on display in the Turull factory house is original, although it is also joined by pieces from other ancestral estates in Sabadell from the same period and from numerous donations or occasional deposits.
