This jug is a ceramic recipient with a rounded body without a neck, with a handle and a spout under the edge. The jug has a detailed spatulate decoration, common on this type of ceramic. This fragment of a jug is typical of the early medieval period, and they are often found in excavations of archaeological sites of the Carolingian period in Catalonia. This fragment was found close to one of the two ditches that protected the Carolingian castle on its south and west flanks.
