Necklace, 19000 - 16000 BC, from Cau de les Goges (Sant Julia de Ramis, Girona).

Necklace made from mollusc shells from the orders Dentaliida (Dentalium) and Turbinidae (Turbo) with a pierced deer tooth. From the Upper Palaeolithic period onwards, the presence of Homo sapiens saw an increase in the number of items related to personal jewellery, as well as artistic output on objects and dwellings, including paintings.
