Copper halbard

Copper Halberd (Girona), 2200 BC.

Copper Halberd (Girona), 2200 BC.

Attacking weapon consisting of a triangular copper foil reinforced with a midrib. With a perpendicular, slightly oblique cross handle, featuring three rivets. This type of weapon is commonly found in the graves of males from the El Argar culture (in Eastern Andalusia and Murcia). This means it is a rare find in this area of north-eastern Spain.
