Hairpin, necropolis of Can Bec de Baix (Agullana, Alt Empordà), late Bronze Age, 900-800 BC

Piece with two heads entwined forming two antennae. It formed part of the grave goods recovered from a tomb in the necropolis of Can Bec de Baix. The most common funeral rite was that of cremation. Next to the urn with human remains, some tombs contain smaller vessels with personal objects of bronze, or at a later date, iron.
