Bronze axe dated to the early Bronze Age (between 2300 and 1800 BC) from the cave of Olopte (Isòvol)

This is an axe measuring 15.4 cm in length by 6.9 cm at its widestand 2.2 cm thick.

It was found in Cave I at Olopte, on the right bank of the River Duràn. It is one of the largest of its kind found in Valltoba.

It was found in 1966 by a team of cavers from the Catalan Excursion Centre, who brought it to the surface together with a large amount of pottery.
