The room called Cambra alegre has the typical structure of a main room with a bedchamber. In the room, there is a hearth and a washbasin, enabling us to understand the hygienic habits of the house at a time when there was no running water. The bedchamber, with a canopied bed framed by rich curtains, is surprising if we think of the bedroom as a private area; a layout that will begin to disappear at the end of the 19th century, as a result of the new hygiene theories.
