This is an artist’s book with an accordion fold spine containing 36 poems written in kanji characters. Each poem is accompanied by a lamina depicting a female figure in relief and dressed in an elegant junihitoe-type kimono. The book is titled “Onna Kasen” and is an anthology of the best poems written by two of the best-known Japanese poetesses from the Heian and Kamakura periods.
